Terms of Service

1. The service

MökkiCare connects cottage owners ("Owners") with service providers ("Providers"). MökkiCare is a marketplace platform; we are not a party to the service contract between Owners and Providers.

2. Roles and responsibility

• Owners describe the work, accept bids, and pay the agreed amount.
• Providers perform the work as agreed and are responsible for compliance with applicable trade, tax and insurance rules.
• MökkiCare provides the platform, messaging, reviews and (where enabled) payment processing.

3. Account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Keep your credentials safe; you are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Payments

In-app payments are processed by Stripe. Off-platform payment methods listed on a Provider's profile are between the Owner and the Provider; MökkiCare is not liable for those transactions.

5. Cancellation and refunds

Owners and Providers may cancel an open task at any time before work begins. After work begins, refunds are negotiated between the parties; MökkiCare may mediate but does not guarantee outcomes.

6. Conduct

No fraud, harassment, illegal content, or off-platform circumvention to avoid platform fees once a relationship is established through MökkiCare.

7. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on actual experience. We may remove reviews that violate these terms.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MökkiCare is not liable for damages arising from services performed by Providers. Mandatory consumer rights under Finnish law are not affected.

9. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Account settings. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are resolved in the District Court of Helsinki, unless mandatory consumer protection law specifies otherwise.
